The event is part of the .con | contemporaneo condiviso programme, a network of no-profit spaces for contemporary languages in Prato, Italy.

Body To Be 2016 focuses on Macrolotto Zero, an industrial area just outside the town centre of Prato, Italy; it is a border zone mostly inhabited by the Chinese community, and the subject of many urban, architectural and anthropological considerations. The second edition of the project dives fully into this packed and complex district, investigating performance art in its public, social and political dimensions by presenting actions in public space that revolve around the presence as well as the community and perceptual experience of bodies. The artists invited by Kinkaleri are Invernomuto with the site-specific project Wishes of a C and Cesare Pietroiusti with Distribuzione gratuita di opere incompiute, two performances involving various participants in a single civic context, experimenting collective forms of public sharing.
Body To Be 2016 is realized by a network of associations: SC17, Dryphoto and Kinkaleri; it is a cultural project – shared and connected – conceived as an accurate work on this part of the town, and structured with specific interventions.
